If you think there is a safety problem with your meter, the cables or other equipment leading to your home, telephone your supplier’s emergency number. It will be listed on your bill under “Supply Failure”. Alternatively, call the emergency number under “Electricity” in the telephone directory.
If you are disabled, chronically sick or of pensionable age, and the gas emergency has resulted in your heating or cooking appliances being disconnected, you are entitled to receive alternative heating and cooking equipment for free until your normal appliances are fixed.
