Age ConcernThe Pension Service, which is part of the Department for Work and Pensions has been set up to improve the service provided for today’s and future pensioners. The Pension Service has a network of pension centres supported by local services working in the community, delivered in Partnership with local authorities and voluntary-sector organisations.

Age ConcernThe Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) is a national charity providing comprehensive and impartial information and advice about equipment/assistive technology to enable older and disabled people to live more independently.

Central to the DLF’s services is a comprehensive database of assistive technology, an essential tool for in-house advisors who operate the Helpline and work in the Equipment Demonstration Centre.

The DLF also co-ordinates a number of training courses for professional and personal development ranging from disability awareness to moving and handling people.
