Unlike domestic consumers who enjoy some degree of protection against disconnection, business suppliers are able to disconnect for non payment of bills. Disconnections happen for a variety of reasons, maybe because a debt has accumulated and the company acts to limit its exposure or because there has been a billing error and the consumer has withheld payment or simply because the wrong premises was cut off. In any event the most important thing is to communicate with your supplier as soon as a problem appears.
